Description

The aim of the Integrated Health Communications committee is to facilitate communication within AMSBS integrated health membership, between integrated health and surgeon members, and with potential members. This includes communicating in outside forums, moderating communication over official forums, and ensuring that relevant integrated health is available to all members

Objectives

• Improve communication within ASMBS membership
• Increase awareness of IH activities to external audiences and stakeholders
• Facilitate communication between committees
• Identify and provide mechanisms for communication and collaboration for project development

Committee Projects

Short-Term

• Continue to build and monitor the growing Active ASMBS IH Members Only Facebook professional networking group
• Continue the IH Webinar series to promote education and professional development
• Continue to work with the IH Membership Committee to develop materials and resources that highlight the value of Integrated Health membership

    • A webinar event to recap the most attended IH Sessions at the ASMBS 2022 Weekend Meeting.
  • Connecting the Dots with your Dietitian webinar (3/15/2023)
    • A lunchtime event to celebrate National Nutrition Month. Members joined as we discussed reasons having a nutritionist on the bariatric team is invaluable. The event featured a Q&A Session at the beginning of the event and concluded with Networking.
